The Sun enters Scorpio around October 23 and conjuncts retrograde Mercury at the same time. Both points at 0° Scorpio denote "obsessions" and a fixed mind-set. There is no way to find compromises now. 0° Scorpio can be a very accident-prone degree with retrograde Mercury here, so beware!

Around October 25, there is relief after some hard work for the ones born around October 24, January 21, April 21 or July 24.

What's New on Our Web Site?

Currently, most web sites are quite static with visitors and surfers just browsing sites for information. And that's it. There is no other interaction involved.

Web 2.0, the so-called 2nd generation of the web, just takes another route in that it makes it possible for the surfers to comment and rate the topics discussed on a web page.

Web 2.0 is a catchall term for user-generated content and interaction with viral spread. It has created legendary business success stories such as MySpace (sharing your life), flickr (photo sharing), and YouTube (video sharing).

Visitors can share their knowledge and experience(s) and post it on the web site so that the whole wide world can read, comment and rate the knowledge and experience(s).

This way, web sites are more and more becoming a real network, living from the knowledge and information that YOU (or any other visitor) provides and posts.

Yes, YOU can contribute and share your original, high-value content and knowledge making a (and very soon, our) web site yet MORE informative.

Because of the interaction involved this is a major step forward.

This process is often called "social networking"; web sites are becoming a platform or open source of information that YOU help to build.

However, if every surfer in the world would be able to freely post, share or comment information without any barrier or control, the web would really suffer from unreliable and false information too. The web would become a trap. Think of the so-called uncontrolled 'splogging' (spam blogs) and false information found on Wikipedia (the biggest internet encyclopaedia).

That's why human beings are absolutely necessary to guard against any abuse of this new application of the web.

An authority has to maintain quality and control.

That's why we at Cosmic Technologies will keep a very close eye on ALL posts and entries and will delete any topic or information that sounds like an advertisement or false information.

Our web site has to remain as clean as possible with top-notch astrological information related to love and related topics.

We are excited to announce that the launching of the Web 2.0 module to our web site is IMMINENT.

Because it's a major upgrade, we'll start gradually and soft-launch this module on some pages first so that we still have control over what's happening when people visit our web site.

Natal Moon VOC, Life Void of Love??

The Moon is considered void of course when she makes no applying major aspect at all before leaving the sign she's in. Major aspects are the conjunction, sextile, square, trine and opposition.

This definition has caused quite some debate, even among horary astrologers in that it's unsure if one has to use the whole sign approach or if one still has to take the orbs of the aspects into account.

Till now, the debate goes on and the definition of a void of course Moon remains controversial.

In our own research we have been taking both schools of thought into account and consider the Moon void of course when it is so according to BOTH methods.

Only this way, the Moon is truly void of course!

When the Moon moves into a void phase, time seems to stand still and nothing will come of the matter.

We investigated this principle based on some business foundation charts in which we could find a true void of course Moon. Interestingly, almost all these companies vanished soon after they were founded (in a time span of about a year or two)!

The same may be true when you go on a date during a true Moon void of course period. The date may be fruitless, unsuitable and nothing will come out of it.

The same holds for job interviews and all other important new decisions: no job interviews when the Moon is truly void of course! It's fruitless and a waste of time.

What does it mean to have a void of course Moon in the natal chart?

While our research is not finished and conclusive yet, we are more and more convinced that the Moon is only void of course in a natal chart when the Moon does not make any aspects within orbs.

From the moment the Moon is still in orb, aspecting another planet, we don't consider it to be void of course. That's our preliminary conclusion, but still, more research is needed.

Let's give an exmple: in the natal chart of Hillary Clinton (born October 26, 1947 at 20:00 (08:00 pm) CST in Chicago, IL/USA) the Moon is posited at 29° Pisces and according to most astrologers considered to be void of course because it makes no applying aspect with another planet before leaving the sign Pisces.

If you look further, you'll notice Jupiter at 0° Sagittarius, building a trine to the Moon. The Moon applies to a trine with Jupiter (within orbs) so that, in our opinion, Hillary's Moon is NOT void of course!

What does a natal void of course Moon indicate?

According to research done by some astrologers (Janis Huntley and A H Morrison among others) subjects born with a void of course Moon can be seemingly devoid of emotions. They can mask their emotions very well.

Also, they do not fit easily into the family and easily feel misunderstood. They rather suffer in silence.

They tend to feel (emotionally) lonely or estranged and are very often firstborn.

Interestingly enough, a void of course Moon seems not to have any affect on one's love life! From the sample of natal charts with a true void of course Moon, we could not find anything conclusive related to the quality or the duration of a marriage or a love relationship.

They too have a love life with its ups and downs, some have long lasting relationships and some are of short duration. That's to say, nothing significantly.
