In general and on a mundane level, events are likely to happen around December 1, December 8, December 14-15, December 21 and/or December 28-29. During this month of December 2016, a couple of planetary configurations will affect some birthdays in particular:
In the 45° dial, the (stationing) Uranus/Neptune (UR/NE) and Jupiter/Neptune (JU/NE) midpoints are both at 0° Aries (the Vernal Point, Vp) . The Vernal Point represents the "World at large", our planet Earth as a whole or a community. The two mentioned midpoints will thus influence our whole world. Because the Uranus/Neptune midpoint contains two generational (slow-moving) planets, the influences will last some time. The signification of this planetary picture can be defined as follows: "the awakening world", to be more sensitive and impressionable, the influence of metaphysics and/or the spiritual world on Earth, the changes in social and political structures due to new ideals and dreams of the future, movements who diminish the power of authority of the nation's leadership or governmental systems, the increased chaos and confusioon worldwide. This midpoint is one of the most "immaterial" ones of all and therefore also represents "the digital era", energies that are invisible and/or that are working out on a subconscious level. It's about a general (global) consciousness shift when it is at the Vernal Point. The additional influence of the Jupiter/Neptune midpoint that starts to be more prominent around and after the December 13-14 SuperMoon (Full Moon) and that increases in power at the turn of the year, adds quite some euphoric characteristics. Ironically, among the chaos, scandals and irritability, strange conditions will bring a grand spirit and a lucky mood. Also, in astrometeorology, the Vp = Uranus/Neptune = Jupiter/Neptune picture (Vp = UR/NE = JU/NE) is statistically often associated with floods, precipitation (rain or snow), inundations and other water-related issues here and there. So, be prepared! The other astrological configuration that will be felt already is the wide T-square in Cardinal signs between Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto in which Pluto in Capricorn is the apex body. Pluto of profound transformations and reversals also represents the underworld, and is fond of investigating the complex undercurrents of the world and it feels highly driven to expose things to the surface. As Pluto leaves 15° Capricorn and goes to 16° and 17° Capricorn, things will start to become more and more surreal between late December 2016 and late January 2017. This T-square shows powerful, all-consuming obsessions that may tax emotional energies. This astrological pattern represents a huge power conflict (actually, a battle) and is about gaining control over others, whatever it takes. This is a very complicated pattern, very puzzling, mysterious but with intense, ruthless and forceful drives to succeed. There is a crisis situation that demands immediate and decisive reactions and because Jupiter and Uranus are involved in this pattern, there is penetrating insight to successfully relieve the crisis situation. Because the pattern is not exact and will linger on well into 2017, there is a story to be continued for months to come. This pattern is just not about willingly sharing power but about active, explosive and intense confrontations. Let's see what the month has further in store. Around December 1 the Sun at 9¨Sagittarius squares Neptune at 9° Pisces. This waning square reflects a downfall, a demise, a huge disappointment, an illusion, a loss. It's a very self-delusive aspect that may result in entanglements, lies, chaotic circumstances. There is news or knowledge about secrecies that slowly transform your perception and thinking. Mercury enters Capricorn around December 2 suggesting some official communication, news or information coming from the government, the corporate and/or banking world. Beware of hoaxes and fake news that may go viral though. There is dissatisfaction, the need to intervene or interfere with something, a fighting spirit (fighting for one's life and/or reputation), and there are also difficult working circumstances and legal issues. Some harsh arguments have to be tackled here and there as well. Because Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are at the same numerical degree in a sign (17°) around December 3, the early December days are not only about legal issues and prosecutions, resignation or stepping down but also about real estate, construction work, repairing buildings or houses etc. If you are born around January 8, February 6-7, March 7-8, April 7, May 7, June 7-8, July 9, August 9, September 9-10, October 10, November 9 or December 9, the configurations may affect you in particular. Around December 4 you clearly want to go to the bottom, do additional research. These are very tenacious patterns that are currently active so that you should not expect anyone to just give in. There is a lot of study going on as well. Meetings tend to end in disagreement because there is lots of conflict in the air. If you are born around February 6-7, March 22, May 7, June 23, August 9, September 24-25 or December 23-24, you are especially affected by the ongoing astrological configurations.. The current position of Mars these early December days is such that it triggers some very challenging (mid)points that, following mundane astrology, suggest tremendous upheaval, overexertion or anxiety about how things will get on, trying to break free with all means, detention and even imprisonment. Venus enters humanitarian and freedom-loving Aquarius around December 7 suggesting a sudden thrilling turn of events regarding (some) agreements. Some talks, speeches or communication tend to upset you. The Sun and Saturn conjoin at 18° Sagittarius around December 10-11 denoting a sobering and solitary period with clouds in the sky. Chances are, your relationship(s) need(s) a reality check and you have to face some (hard) facts. You feel separated from a loved one (for whatever reason) and some of you may even consider a divorce. Also, there can be some minor health issues going on that prevent you from "flying high." There can be money shortages or the inability to pay some bills or do some purchases as well. The December 13-14 Full Moon period is actually a SuperMoon period and reinforces separative trends and/or possessions being out of reach. This can be another Full Moon of awakening due to new information that raises your expectations like new discoveries, inventions, sudden revelations. In the Northern Hemisphere, winter is mild and rather wet while in the Southern Hemisphere, summer can be hot with severe thunderstorms. Around December 17-18 there is irresistible attraction and/or a meeting with important or powerful people. Mars enters dissolving Pisces around December 19 while Mercury at 15° Capricorn stations and turns retrograde on the same day. As usual, stationing Mercury indicates minor and temporary setbacks in the life of Geminis and Virgos (or Gemini and Virgo Ascendants). Things just don't go your way and you may not feel too well. Don't take any important decisions and wait till Mercury moves forward again after January 8, 2017. During Mercury's station, there are increased chances of strikes here and there. The additional entrance of Mars in mutable Pisces too will affect Geminis and Virgos (as well as the other mutable signs Sagittarius and Pisces). It's likely most of these mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) will be "under fire" one way or the other. Mars in Pisces is very secretive and there are many activities going on behind the scenes and behind one's back. Late December 2016 and early January 2017 mark a very treacherous period with Mars, the Lunar South Node and Neptune getting together in Pisces of hidden activities. Especially after the December 21 Last Quarter Moon at 29° Virgo, there is a real sense of suspicious associations, rejection or threats and deceptions. In Pisces, Mars is going to sacrifice a lot, easily becoming the victim of its not knowing any boundaries. Service to others reigns. Following astrometeorology, fiery Mars in watery Pisces also produces damp and mild weather, increasing the likelihood of more precipitation generally speaking. If you are born between February 3-5, March 18-20, May 3-6, June 19-21, August 5-7, September 21-22 or November 5-7, sudden romantic attachments and/or nice surprises may color the days around December 19-20. There are pleasant meetings or connections and you feel joyful. If you are born around February 5, March 20, May 6, June 21, August 7, September 22 or November 7, you are reveling in love around December 20. You are not only in a very romantic and sensuous mood but your creative and artistic urges, especially in the fields of music or photography, too get a boost. The Sun enters realistic and restrictive Capricorn around December 21 implying time for another reality check and separative tendencies. The spotlight is on a leader of state, VIP, celebrity, CEO or a higher-up who is able to raise your consciousness and/or bring new awareness. In astrometeorology, the current astrological patterns indicate lots of precipitation or water-related issues here and there. Make it cozy around the Xmas days, even if there are some minor restrictions and nervous tension noticeable. There are (sudden) changes of the place indicated. Around December 26 Jupiter at 20° Libra opposes liberating and original Uranus at 20° Aries. Know that Uranus is almost stationing as well so that it has the upper hand in this aspect. In mundane astrology, the Jupiter-Uranus opposition implies changes related to the free market (capitalism), thrilling innovations, discoveries, social reforms and progress. Freedom of thought and beliefs cannot be compromised and this aspect challenges society to radically restructure its existing structures. This opposition is highly critical (even opposing) of society and easily feels angry when betrayed. Needless to say that this too can be a very auspicious aspect bringing unexpected fortunate happenings. Generally, and the bottom-line as well, any Jupiter-Uranus aspect brings relief in whatever situation you are in. Uranus oppositions tend to indicate separations too: separation from beliefs, religions and laws. Personal freedom and liberating tendencies (stationing Uranus in selfish and personal Aries) will prevail late 2016. Around December 27, Mars at 6° Pisces opposes the North Node of the Moon at 6° Virgo. Mars-Lunar Node aspects are always something to watch out for because they are most often related to accidents causing physical injuries for many (shootings, traffic- or transportation accidents and the like). So, late December can be very accident-prone and turbulent also. The Sun and Mercury conjoin at 7° Capricorn around December 28. There can be a message or news about some sort of separation (a career change, a change of residence, someone leaving your world,...). Indeed, December 28-29 may bring another reality check. Around the December 29 New Moon period, Uranus at 20° Aries stations and turns direct again. This station indicates surprises that can be turbulent and disruptive in some way but very revealing nevertheless. For some of you, this station marks unexpected pregnancy but for most of you, it may bring a sudden transformation that will impatiently urge you to leave the old behind and move fast forward. Between December 29-31 (retrograde) Mercury will go over the configurations it hit around December 4, repeating the themes of study, research, investigations, tenacity and determination. The Natal Venus Mars OppositionsIn previous Love Letters we delineated different natal Venus-Mars aspects already.This time we want to share our research pertaining to the natal Venus-Mars opposition (aspect of 180°). When researching the meaning of aspects we only use a very tight orb of 1° because we're convinced this is the only way to find the essence of the aspects. Also, we make a difference between male and female charts, and when possible, differ between applying and separating aspects as well. We conduct our research with the help of the AstroDatabank which currently contains 58,000+ birth data. Interestingly and surprisingly, only few (wo)men were found in the AstroDatabank with an exact Venus Mars opposition! This results in some blank and/or inconclusive findings. 1. The Venus Mars Opposition in the FEMALE Chart General Meaning In general, women with a tight Venus-Mars opposition in the natal chart are adventurous. Above average they travel for work or are expatriates. They have a close and supportive family and they love to work in team or with others/another. On average, women with a close Venus Mars opposition tend to break bones easily. A. The Applying Opposition Inconclusive results because of insufficient data. B. The Separating Opposition Women who have a tight separating Venus-Mars opposition travel for work. They have an unusual job/career for an average female. They have a small family as well. 2. The Venus Mars Opposition in the MALE Chart General Meaning In general, men with a tight Venus-Mars opposition in the natal chart are attention-seeking and quite brash. Men with such an aspect may love to write (scripts, announcements,...) or propagate. A. The Applying Opposition Men who have the applying Venus Mars opposition above average are widowed. They are outspoken and prone to collusions with others. B. The Separating Opposition Men who have a tight separating Venus-Mars opposition above average have a high IQ.
