In general and on a mundane level, events are likely to happen around February 2, February 9, Febryary 16 and/or February 22. During this month of February there are no powerful planetary configurations affecting specific birthdays. Generally speaking, February 3, 6, 8 and 16 are "less lucky" days. Try not to initiate any major projects on this dark, unfortunate, chaotic and empty day (no proposals, no marriages, no changes of residence,...) because things may not go as planned or wished. Most of the month is marked by a wide cardinal T-square in which Mars and Uranus are the apex planets, both squaring Pluto and the Lunar North Node. Regular readers of our monthly forecasts already know that any time Mars squares the Lunar Nodes, bloody mass events that result in many casualties are likely to occur. This time, disruptive Uranus enters the same picture, making the T-square very accident-prone and violent. In mundane astrology, it's told that when Mars, Uranus and Pluto blend together in some configuration, the risk of earthquakes, volcanic activity and other earth-related disasters increases manifolds. Because in this month of February, most planets are posited in earth signs, earth-related mass events may occur. Add to this that Uranus is at 29° Aries, a so-called "critical" (ending) degree and that Mars joins Uranus this month, you get the picture. The current wide T-square not only indicates earth-related events but also massive pent-up anger and rage here and there that will likely burst open during February. Around February 1-2, some issues with a ship or maritime issues may occur. For some of you, a phone call or some kind of message may bring sad news. Mars at 21° Aries squares Pluto at 21° Capricorn around February 2, adding to a violent atmosphere. This waxing square is too forceful, ruthless and only interested in single focused ambitions in a controlled way. This aspect suggests the compulsion to survive for whatever reason. A lot of work can now be accomplished though. Venus enters corporate Capricorn around February 3 and is highly attracted to people in a uniform or those with big accomplishments. Also, love for older or more mature people or for an authority is another valid outcome. Money matters more than "love" when Venus resides in ambitious Capricorn. The February 4 New Moon at the so-called "critical degree" of 15° Aquarius, may present maritime disasters or issues with (a) (capsizing ?) ship(s) or water-related issues. On a more personal or individual level, this New Moon may bring love's sorrow, sadness and/or a lack of zest. For some of you, some health issues may be quite annoying. The influences may affect you especially if you are born around January 5-6, February 4-5, March 6, March 21, April 5, May 6, June 6, June 21-22, July 7-8, August 8, September 8, September 23-24, October 8-9, November 8, December 7-8 or December 22-23. Around February 7, Mars at 25° Aries squares the Lunar Nodes. This highly accident-prone aspect suggests a turbulent period of mass events that result in many casualties and injuries. On a mundane level, this aspect generally denotes accidents and injuries, but also ruthless bloody violence. While this also applies on a more personal level, surgery is a possible outcome for some of you too. Mercury enters Pisces around February 10, the sign of its detriment. There is some secrecy about certain documents and/or some documents get lost. Communication may lack some structure or direction and you may more easily feel confused. Beware of misunderstandings, not seeing things clearly or in a distorted way. Check the facts yourself as good as possible. Around February 13, Mars and Uranus meet each other at 29° Aries, a so-called "critical" (ending) degree. While any Mars-Uranus combo is accident-prone, indicating physical injuries, upsetting or disturbing events and explosive or shocking outbursts of whatever kind, 29° Aries adds some more turmoil to the mix. Add to this all that Mars is the dispositor of Uranus too and you get a highly disruptive combo that might bring quite some fireworks. Actually, 29° Aries indicates an existential crisis that activates primal survival instincts. It's likely this conjunction may trigger some natural disasters around this period, aside from other accident-prone mundane events. Be prepared that your plans and/or agenda can be changed overnight. When Mars moves into the earth sign Taurus the day after, on February 14, there will be 4 planets in earth signs already (Mars in Taurus and Venus, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn). With Uranus coming closer too, the current and coming period will be marked by more earth (crust)-related ("natural") events. For some of you, there can be imposed or enforced travel or leave-taking. Others may nervously resist (karmic or fated) changes or oppression and try to do things their own way. There is upheaval to protect assets. Many of you will experience new stages of rethinking things. In some other cases, news of some separation or even death will likely occur too. Beware of traffic and/or (land/air) transportation accidents as well. If you are born around January 12-13, February 26, April 12-13, May 28-29, July 15, August 31, October 16 or November 29-30, the current unsettling astrological influences may influence you most. Around February 15-16, a sudden change of course (and plans) is to be exptected. Breaking news and restlessness are in the air. Following astrometeorology, this can be a stormy period as well. If you are born around January 15-16, March 1, April 15-16, May 31 - June 1, July 18, September 3, October 18-19 or December 2-3, the current astrological influences may especially apply to you. Venus and Saturn conjoin at 16° Capricorn around February 18, resulting in cloudy and overcast weather. This conjunction emphasizes the love for a uniform, (past) accomplishments and formal gatherings and/or ceremonies. Love is lived in a detached, more distant, way. For some of you, finances are problematic because of limitations or because funds are restricted. A low cash flow may result these days. The Sun enters Pisces around the February 18-19 Full Moon while Mercury and Neptune conjoin at 15° Pisces, a so-called "critical degree." This is another powerful Full Moon period, the more so because it happens again at another so-called "critical degree" of 0° Virgo, which happens also to be the position of the Fixed Star Regulus. In mundane astrology, the Fixed Star Regulus has a violent and often bloody Mars signature. Generally speaking, this can be a Full Moon period during which you might have to learn to take care of yourself, your health and well-being. On a more mundane level, the Mercury-Neptune conjunction at 15° Pisces (the sign of Neptune) especially emphasizes issues with gaseous situations and/or chemicals. This can be an eventful Full Moon as well that brings water-related issues (like floods, hurricanes, tsunamis...) and foggy situations. In mundane astrology, 15° Pisces is told to be a drowning degree that indicates that people are snowed under or drowned by a situation, but the drowning degree may also be taken literally... There might be more going on than people can handle... From our own experience, 15° Pisces is a very chaotic degree during which people feel lost and uncertain. The Full Moon at 0° Virgo adds to the possible water- or gaseous related issues, and shows some active survival instincts as well. Around February 22-23, Mercury at 21° Pisces, the sign of its detriment, squares Jupiter at 21° Sagittarius, its own sign, while Venus and Pluto conjoin at 22° Capricorn. The waxing Mercury-Jupiter square in which Mercury is very weak and Jupiter very strong is all about "artificial or unauthentic positive thinking" and representing things in too beautiful a way. Belief and bluff get the upperhand and overpower (rational) reasoning. The Venus-Pluto conjunction in corporate Capricorn combines money and power. This aspect can be associated with the proverbial "honey trap", highly-charged relationships, blackmail, physical abuse and the like but also with the death of a celebrity or higher-up. During tight Venus-Pluto aspects, women should always be careful with whom they get on because of the possibility of unwelcome forceful encounters. Around February 23-24, separative configurations add to the meaning of the mentioned Venus-Pluto conjunction. If you are born around January 13-14, February 27, April 13-14, May 29-30, July 16, September 1, October 17 or November 30 - December 1, the current astrological configurations may especially affect you. Add to this all Venus at 24° Capricorn opposing the mean Lunar North Node around February 24-25 and we get the picture of letting go someone, the farewell or end of a bond, the cooling off of a relationship and/or withdrawing yourself and/ or reassessing your social life. Also, your finances have to be taken a closer look at as well. Around February 27-28, separative configurations are still active and mark a forceful and tense end of the month. If you are born around January 13-14, February 27, April 13-14, May 29-30, July 16, September 1, October 17 or November 30 - December 1, the current astrological configurations may still affect your life. Indeed, we want to attract all our visitors to the fact that when we make the transition, our web site can no longer be accessed through the old http:// version. Because search engines will no longer "know" and find our http:// web site, it's likely you will get blank pages when searching us in the search engines. You may be thinking that our web site vanished but that's not so ! Unfortunately for us, converting to a https:// web site denotes starting from scratch and the search engines will have to find, index and rank the web site again... This may take a whole while (not sure how the algorithms work in that regards). Hence, we want to push the migration but there still is a lot of work to do. We updated another hundred pages with new or updated links but have still lots of scripts and links to edit or update and look for new scripts and links. Natal Sun-Mars OppositionsIn this article we present our empirical research results pertaining to the natal Sun-Mars oppositions. Thanks to the Swiss AstroDatabank we were able to research the natal Sun-Mars oppositions of many people.We used a small orb of 3° so to get the essence of the aspect without interference of possible other aspects. As usual, our research is divided into male and female horoscopes. Natal Sun-Mars oppositions in female charts Above average, lots of women with a tight Sun-Mars opposition face addictions (substance abuse: drugs, alcohol etc.). On average, they have two daughters (and/or often three kids in total). They may experience domestic stress and/or violence. Women born with a close Sun-Mars opposition experience mental breakdowns and/or periods of depression. Hence, a high number of them tend to suicide (attempts). Interestingly, the age of 17 often marks a milestone in their life. Natal Sun-Mars oppositions in male charts Above average, the men have a hardy constitution. On average, they have just one kid and most often it's a son. Men with a natal Sun-Mars opposition need an outlet physically to express their energy level constructively because otherwise they get highly aggressive and temperamental. Hence, lots of the men with such an aspect work are also sports team players. On average, men with a tight Sun-Mars opposition face addictions (substance abuse of whatever kind).
