In general and on a mundane level, events are likely to happen around December 5-6, 12, 19-20 and/or 27. During this month of December, the following planetary configurations will likely affect some birthdays in particular:
In the 45° dial, there are numerous powerful midpoint combos between outer planets going on that will be exact this month and that will mark this month's Zeitgeist. There are complicated combos involved that are difficult to delineate and that we will not discuss for that reason. We would like to mention one planetary picture that is still lingering on and is part of it all: PL = JU/NE = NE/mean Lunar North Node. This planetary picture suggests, among others: to experience disharmony in society or in a group of people, not being able to tolerate someone or some others or a group, the (huge) financial losses, market crashes, the increased need to isolate from a group or from society, to suffer depression alone and silently, the big scandals and underworld activities. Around December 1, Neptune stations at 20° Pisces and turns direct again. At a so-called "motherly degree", Neptune will also have some influence on "mothers" and the caring motherly/maternal (female) principles. What this means is that this station might trigger one of the following outcomes, among others, and especially related to women: the separation from the mother (for whatever reason), a changed perception of what care is or should be, pregnancy, domestic changes, changing the haircut or dress code, changing the job or fields of interest, taking a more independent course, becoming more distant or detached in your relationships (in the widest sense). Generally speaking, this station is meant to bring situations that allow you to become more independent, detached, so to give you the opportunity to develop yourself more and become stronger overall. You may feel tired during the station and may need much more rest too. Pisceans and Pisces Ascendants may now rejoice a bit because their life will be on track again slowly. Don't forget to analyze your dreams during the station. Following astrometeorology, stationing Neptune often coincides with lots of precipitation (snow, rain, mist, ...) which can be severe here and there. If you are born around January 15, February 28-March 1, April 14-15, May 31-June 1, July 17-18, September 2-3, October 18-19 or December 2, around December 1-2, you feel disappointed, even betrayed. Some of you may feel left or separated and/or may face some health issues. You may feel misunderstood as well and the mood is darker. Around December 2, there are sunny spells. Around December 3, there are clouds in the sky. Around December 4, the Solar Eclipse (a perigee New Moon) at 12° Sagittarius is exactly inconjunct turbulent, upsetting and disruptive Uranus, urging us to suddenly change course. Regular readers of our monthly forecasts know that we always delineate the Solar Eclipses based on the keen research by astrologer Bernadette Brady. However, this time we will not do that because the information in her book about the start of this particular Eclipse Saros Cycle 5 South differs from the official NASA catalog of Solar Eclipses (as found out by Federico Flueckiger). Hence, we cannot rely on her findings for this one and will have to await a revised update of her book "The Eagle and the Lark" that is scheduled for release in June 2022. This particular Solar Eclipse takes place at a very auspicious degree, in some way. Indeed, 12° Sagittarius is told to enhance life, improve situations and even points to not getting enough of something. It represents "too much of a good thing" that may turn things upside down completely (for good or ill). However, this particular Eclipse also represents a test phase of balancing external rules and regulations with personal freedom. The more trans-personal regulations suffocate the people, the more this Solar Eclipse will swing to the other side; resulting in extremely freedom-loving behavior and even rebellion (confirmed by the inconjunct with Uranus). This Solar Eclipse will learn a very powerful lesson: life and society is not about external restrictions and boundaries but by how we experience freedom on an inner intuitive level. This means that artificial restrictive life situations will result in breaking up and breaking free. Hence, this Solar Eclipse marks the start of a very accident-prone, shocking and turbulent period (that will transpire during the coming 6 months). People will likely separate, break up etc. if they intuitively can no longer cope with artificial or fake regulations, relationships, jobs or... This is the Solar Eclipse of whistle blowers also that will likely increase manifold in the weeks and months to come! Hence, this degree area also marks the "falling off of masks" (literally and figuratively). Be aware and do understand that this Solar Eclipse points to an increase in pressure to suppress the inner intuition further and enforce submission by increasing more apparent, fake, sham, false, feigned situations that will ultimately (have to) lead to rebellion and revolution. The more pressure, the more rebellion will follow and the more freedom will be the end result (it's part of the universal laws of polarity and balance). According to German empirical research, the degree area around 12°30' Sagittarius coincides with separation from the mother, separation from or in the family, some sadness related to maternal and family influences. It looks like this Solar Eclipse suggests that people, families will not be able to connect properly or at all, here and there. There are painful unfulfilled longings because of "someone" missing. Hence, the end of the year may bring quite some "depression" here and there, with feelings of (a threat of) loss, being fired, being totally on one's own with one's self. As mentioned already, understand that this period of time seems to be meant to learn to stand on your own, develop yourself to get rid of false and fake external pressures. Mercury at 20° Sagittarius squares stationing Neptune at 20° Pisces around December 7, suggesting some health issues (flu like symptoms or a cold, often involving the lungs), not being able to think clearly, to be confused and lots of messages or news to process. This waning square in which Neptune is very powerful in its own sign and Mercury very weak in the sign of its detriment, suggests being overwhelmed by the many details and information and facing distorted facts. Beware of lies, betrayal, fake news and hoaxes. This is a period of forgetting things and miscommunication too. Mars at 26° Scorpio squares Jupiter at 26° Aquarius, around December 8. This waning square in fixed signs is indicative of legal battles or fights, especially related to freedom and independence. Something unlawful is going on and some carelessness is involved too. Around December 9, there are clouds in the sky. Around December 10, there are sunny spells. Around December 11-12, Venus and Pluto conjoin at 25° Capricorn while the Sun at 20° Sagittarius squares stationing Neptune at 20° Pisces. Beware of financial blackmail and theft or betrayal. You are easily deceived and especially women should beware of the men they meet as not all intentions are clear. Mars enters Sagittarius while Mercury enters Capricorn around December 13. During this period there are official or governmental letters, documents, messages or news to be mentioned. Beware of transportation and/or traffic accidents. With pushy Mars in propagating Sagittarius, fighting for one's beliefs becomes a hot topic. Something goes viral. Don't overdo though as this can be a very argumentative position for Mars to be in. In some instances, the entrance of Mars into Sagittarius coincides with cases of (widespread) fraud, corruption etc. Around December 13-14, Mars at 0° Sagittarius opposes the mean Lunar North Node. Regular readers of our monthly forecasts will already know how difficult any Mars- Lunar Node aspect can be for groups of people as it too often coincides with periods of bloody accidents and violence affecting many people. Indeed, there can be accidents, assaults, violence, shootings or other events resulting in physical injuries for a group of people. If you are born around January 5, February 19, April 5, May 21, July 7, August 23, October 8 or November 22, the current astrological energies may affect you more personally too, resulting in physical issues. Around December 15, there are sunny spells. Around December 16, there are clouds in the sky. Venus stations at 26° Capricorn (still widely conjunct Pluto) and turns retrograde around December 19. Whenever Venus turns backward, it's not advised to buy any costly products as it will prove to be a waste of money with the products being below par, not living up to what they should have been, or being more useless than expected. Also, everything that is related to beautification of the body, should be delayed or postponed until Venus is direct again. Retrograde Venus in business-minded Capricorn becomes yet more interested in money and materialism than ever. Love comes very expensive now ;) Because Venus also rules relationships, there is an increased chance of relationships being under review and re-evaluated now too. The ability to express love or be affectionate is less during retrograde Venus periods. If you are Taurus or Libra (or have Taurus or Libra on the Ascendant), you may feel down around the period of the station, things will not go as wished for or you may face some setback. The Sun enters Capricorn around December 21, resulting in a powerful stellium in this zodiac sign because, beside the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Pluto too are in the earth sign Capricorn. A stellium in strict or rigid Capricorn increases the risks of focusing on stricter regulations and boundaries again. This stellium is tightening the belt. Chances are, the festive period will not be as festive as wished for here and there. It's likely there will be some financial hardship here and there as well. Around December 22-23, the mean Lunar North Node enters the earth sign Taurus (the true Lunar North Node will follow in January 2022). Clearly, December 2021 and January 2022 mark a shift in how the coming months will go as the Lunar Nodes change signs (switching from the mutable Gemini-Sagittarius axis of travel and movement to the fixed Taurus/Scorpio of finances, money, possessions and resources). The transiting Nodes in the Taurus-Scorpio axis will raise existential questions and bring the collective focus on possessions, material goods, finances, money and income, debt, loans, etc. Additionally, with the Lunar South Node in Scorpio of the underworld, abuse and fertility, among others, we expect some issues connected with these Scorpio topics to be part of the coming Zeitgeist. This is a very materialistic axis in some way that will bring some crisis situations about that might hit us in our comfort zone during the coming 18 months or so. Around December 23, there are clouds in the sky. Saturn at 11° Aquarius squares Uranus at 11° Taurus around December 24. Any Saturn-Uranus aspect tends to indicate falls (from heights), literally and figuratively (be it structures, objects or people...) and hence some air crashes and collapsing buildings or systems are likely to occur during this aspect. All Saturn-Uranus aspects are tense and stressful as they both represent very differing and even incompatible energies. Imposing restrictions will be met with huge resistance as in the current phase, Saturn will be obliged to submit to the desires of Uranus. Hence, there is still a clash going on between being strict or being free. Following astrometeorology, the exact Saturn-Uranus square in fixed signs in winter coincides with really ice cold weather here and there. Venus and Pluto conjoin again at 25° Capricorn around December 25 but this time Venus is retrograde. Beware of jealousy. Following astrometeorology, this aspect may coincide with heavy precipitation here and there, even though the day starts with sunny spells. Jupiter at 29° Aquarius squares the mean Lunar Nodes around December 27, reflecting some legal entanglements and/or travel plans and journeys not going as wished for. Around December 29, Jupiter enters Pisces, the sign it co-rules while Mercury and Venus meet at 24° Capricorn. The last week of December 2021 and early January 2022, Jupiter is at 29° Aquarius, a so-called critical degree, adding to the likelihood of numerous divorces and relationship break-ups. Also, there is a huge uncertainty about how the future will unfold and it looks like some people exaggerate in finding an outlet so to cope with some lost feelings. The week may be noisy here and there. Following astrometeorology, Jupiter between 29° Aquarius and 1° Pisces is likely to bring tons of precipitation, often resulting in severe snow- or water-related issues. These end of the year days may be(come) quite chaotic here and there. Around the same day of December 29, there are sunny spells. Mercury and Pluto conjoin at 25° Capricorn around December 30, suggesting some documents are under investigation. Something is disclosed that was kept hidden. This aspect may also indicate the news of someone's death. There is vexation going on. Around the same day of December 30, there are clouds in the sky. Around December 31, it's extremely busy, with lots of calls, messages and also interventions, emergencies, accidents and turmoil. The year's end will be very hectic indeed. Saturn Conjunct the DescendantOn our website we delineated the natal planets in the 7th house.This time we will go a step further and delineate the planets conjunct the 7th house cusp (called the Descendant) in this series of planets conjunct the 7th house cusp (Descendant). Thanks to the Astrodatabank, we were able to find out in an empirical way how each planet conjunct the 7th house cusp manifests. We kept a small orb of 3° and divided our research into male and female natal charts on condition the dataset is large enough. In this first article, we delineate the position of Saturn conjunct the Descendant. Because of a small dataset, we did not divide the research between male and female charts and discuss the most powerful influences found in all the charts of the dataset. The most stroking outcome of Saturn conjunct the Descendant by far is a persistent, determined nature that some also call courageous. People who have this aspect have, on average, at least two kids. They are hard workers, often very meticulous, but experience solitary periods in life too. On average, they have at least one long lasting relationship. They are often part of a (very) large family. People with Saturn conjunct the Descendant may live a long life (over 90). They are on average, (very) intelligent and are financially speaking quite successful (even wealthy).
